Playdate #2

Is it just me, or is everyone elses house so much more fun than your own!? Today we got to go play with Bodie and baby Brielle at my friend Meghan's house. We did all sorts of fun things both inside and out. The girls love their swing set, sandbox, and pool. Unfortunately, I didn't take very many pictures, but Meghan got a video of Jocelyn showing us her biceps! Although the video is pretty cute and shows her strength, I will say that she did take a pretty good fall at one point. Her hands were wet from the pool and they slid right off while she was air born, sending her flying!

Thanks Meghan for a very fun day!!

Cheap Entertainment

Since I have 2 weeks off of work, I decided to find new things to do with the girls to keep them entertained. Today we went to a park in Yakima that I have never been to. I don't even know the name of it, I just know it as the "wooden park." My old friend Kirsten, (not old as in age, although that is debatable since she is Sam's age, but old as in, I have had her for awhile) came with us.
Sometimes, sitting in gravel is more enjoyable that climbing ladders, going across monkey bars, and going head-first down slides.
Again, it almost looks torturous having to sit in a custom-made tire swing

And so, if you become bored, just play in the gravel

I was laughing at Kirsten here because she was afraid to let go of Jocelyn. I tried explaining to her that Jocelyn has arms of steel and won't let go if her life depended on it. Kirsten gave her about 2 seconds and then grabbed on. Maybe that's why Jocelyn preferred the gravel?

We will definitely have to go back!

Jocelyn's ABC's

It is definitely not clear as day, but you get the point. Jocelyn, at 22 months is saying her ABC's, even to the right tune! You will hear her get to Q,R,S and then she starts over. She never ceases to amaze me!

The joys of mimicking

Preface:
My daughter's names are Genevieve Grace and Jocelyn Hope. Like most moms, the middle names are usually only used with frustration during discipline.

Now for the story:
I was cleaning up the kitchen while Jocelyn followed me around whining and crying, sucking her thumb, holding her blanket wanting me to hold her. I was basically ignoring her, knowing that I was almost done and then I would pick her up.
From no where, Jenna piped in.
"MOMMY GRACE HOPE...JOCIE WANTS YOU TO HOLD HER!"

Gotta love that girl!

Impressive!

I would say, that at 21 months, my little girl is pretty darn strong to be able to do this with minimal help.

A visit to Grandma and Grandpa Chandler's in Alabama

The girls and I went with my mom and dad to visit all off my mom's family in Alabama. There were lots of toys and kids to play with, so the trip completely exhausted the girls, but they had a great time.
This was Jenna's 4th time on an airplane and she has consistently been an excellent traveler! Jocelyn, however, will never accompany me on an airplane again! Let's just say that the extreme screaming, stare-downs by passengers, and a confronting by a policeman in the airport, ended my desire to travel with her!
Great Grandma and Grandpa Chandler

Look at our new outfits!
Uncle Mike acting like a kid

My mom with her 3 brothers and her parents

I had to add this one because Sam says that it is his favorite picture

Let me have my thumb and my blanket and I will sit with anyone

Happily married for 60 years!

Jenna warmed up quickly to Great Grandma

Jenna once again sportin' her shades

This is how Jocelyn ended up after an hour of screaming on the plane. She ended up flailing onto the floor of the airplane, and fell asleep. I let her stay there for the remainder of the flight.
