McCoy Family Gathering

We had dinner together with Sam's family about a week ago. Matt and Chelsy's little girl, Caitlin (far left), is 10 weeks younger than Jocelyn (middle), and Jon and Rachel's little girl, Bridget (far right), is 11 weeks younger than Jocelyn. The 3 girls were born within 3 months of each other and are going to grown up as very close cousins! Grandma and Grandpa McCoy are going to be very tired grandparents!

My baby is not a baby....

Ok, she is still my baby, and of course she always will be, but I found myself packing away "baby stuff" today. No more baby swing, baby bath, etc. She is getting too big for some stuff and so I took things out to storage. Why I am keeping them even? I am asking myself that same question, being that Sam and I are completely content with 2 darling girls. But, if I get rid of them, I will find myself pregnant, so I am keeping them accessible to prevent from getting pregnant! :-)
Well, the family is finally doing better. Jocelyn is still on breathing treatments, but not every 4 hours anymore, more like 2x/day. And Genevieve is back to her spit-fire self! You gotta love that girl!
I am looking forward to this weekend when our family can go outside and enjoy the beautiful weather! Maybe we will even go to Juliana or Isaiah's soccer games!

Strep, ear infections, viruses, puke, and more!!!

Yes, it has been a long time since the McCoy household has been well. I am having trouble figuring out where to start and how to make a long story short, so here I go...
Jenna got Strep, an ear infection, and a terrible croupy cough on Tuesday. She had to go through 2 chest x-rays, blood being drawn and the worst...a catheter to check for UTI since she has a history of them. She got hit hard and was very lathargic all week with a high temp. By Friday, Jocelyn started coughing and also had a high temp so I took her in to get checked before the weekend. Sure enough, she also has an ear infection and the beginning signs of Strep although she wasn't tested. She also has a croupy cough and both are on a neubulizer treatment of Albuterol. Then, Saturday comes and Sam wakes up achy and nausious. Here it is Sunday and Sam is worse and has a stomach bug and the girls are still pretty sick. Fortunately, I feel no signs of any sickness and I am able to take care of them all. Fun for me! :-)

Here is a better picture of Jocelyn's Mohawk!

Just a cute little girl!

Jocelyn likes sitting in her Bumbo with her toys all around her. She woke up early from a nap this afternoon, and was extremely happy, so I had to catch her on camera. Can you see the mohawk head she has? Her hair has just recently started coming in, but it is all centrally located on the top of her head, standing straight up. We have called her Mohawk enough that now Genevieve has begun calling her that as well. I guess it is better than "poo-poo" as she has previously been calling her. For those of you who don't know, when Jocelyn was born, we started calling her "Jocy-poo" which Jenna shortened to "poo-poo." We have tried calling her "sister" or even "Jocelyn" but Jenna refuses to change. Nice!
