Nope, still no pictures here, but don't worry...I think they will be coming soon. I mean, my fingers are crossed, doesn't that work?
I have to be careful what I say on here, and I may need my husbands help in editing. You see, there may still be some Morphine in my blood, and it sure does funny things to people!
Apparently, after the second shot into my hip in less than 4 hours, I really started getting loopy! But, I would take the chance of possibly saying humiliating things than being in the pain I was in...I think. Well anyway, that's why this will be proofed by Sam. :-)
I spent Monday and Tuesday in the wonderful ER with what I claimed was a migraine. After the shot of some migraine med into my right side and then 3 doses of Percocet at 4 hour intervals on the first day didn't TOUCH the pain in my head, I ended back up in the ER.
That time, the Dr. examined me over and politely told me that I had the flu. Most likely the H1N1 flu. I love how they don't come out and say it..."You have the Swine Flu." But anyone with medical background knows that H1N1 isn't just "the flu." It's the one that has the media all outta whack, fearing for their lives, the one that has caused so many deaths, etc. Yep, that's the one.
The Dr. was so kind to tell me that not only would I have this headache and neck ache or this fever, but that the fever would get to 103 or 104 and then I would start coughing and my skin would hurt, and it would be difficult to breathe, etc. Those docs sure have a way of comforting the weary, don't they? Oh well, they shot me up with Morphine and it was like a miracle drug for me...until it started to wear off and they were going to send me home. The Doctor asked if the Percocet that I had at home was going to be enough. I told him that it didn't work at all and asked if he could just send me home with a prescription for morphine. Again, I was loopy and didn't realize how silly of a request that was. Apparently, Morphine is highly abused and isn't sent home with pts. But, the nice guy that he was, shot me up one more time for good measure before sending me away. I loved that man! :-)
Well, who knows if that is really what I have. They aren't actually "confirming" Swine flu cases anymore because the CDC was getting bombarded by ample amounts of positive tests. So now, they only test those that are younger than 2. Apparently, Yakima is getting about 125 cases a day! See, I just wanted to fit in!
So, for now, I am being taken good care of. I am VERY blessed to have such a wonderful family!
My mom, mother-in-law, sister and husband have gone above and beyond in comforting me. The girls have been really well behaved and quiet when they are around me. Every time Jocelyn sees me, she says, "mommy headache? mommy go to hospital?" and Genevieve has been good at rubbing my arm, but breaks my heart when she keeps saying "I miss you mommy." Those little girls are too much cuteness!
Let's just pray that no one else gets it!

Carrie, how are you feeling? How about the rest of your family? Aubrey had a well child appointment last week and our pediatrician said they are seeing 20 cases of swine flu in their clinic a day. They have stopped culturing it because it's always the same thing. I hope the rest of your family stays well.
