Quiet Time

Well, I finally got my act together and started a blog page. I am excited about keeping you updated on all the new things that occur in my life as well as my family and friends.

It is amazing what 2 full quiet hours all by myself can do for me! It is totally rejuvenating. My girls are so much fun, but require so much energy at the same time! When they go down for their afternoon naps at the same time, I get so excited knowing that I won't be changing diapers, feeding, wiping mouths, getting snacks, etc. for 2 whole hours. I try and get loads of things done, usually unsuccessfully, but the quiet is relaxing to me and helps prepare me for the 2nd half of the day!

This morning, Jenna was sad to stay home because she has gotten used to going to "Kay-Kay's" (Mikayla's) house when I go to work. I tried to explain that she got to stay home with mommy today, but she kept wimpering, "go bye-bye...Kay-Kay." I eventually got her excited by telling her that we could draw together. She loves to draw these days. Luckily, her Aunt Chelsy got her markers that only draw on special paper, so we haven't had any murals on our walls yet!
