He realized that he would never wear this shirt again, so he made some changes to it that were fitting to the day.

The obsession with pajamas
Some girls love their baby dolls. Some love their blankets. Some girls are crazy and love their pajamas. That would be my daughter.
Jocelyn doesn't care what pair it is...she LOVES them. She loves her elephant pajamas that have a red heart on them. She loves her Minnie Mouse ones. She loves her bumble bee ones. She also loves to wear them all day long. She prolongs getting her clothes on each morning until we absolutely have to, and then she questions all morning if its time for her to put them back on.
And at nap time, she begs to wear jammies.
So when she had a melt down one day, Sam coaxed her out of her "attitude" by telling her that if she was good, she could take her jammies to my moms house who has going to be watching her for the day and she could wear them during her nap. She preceded to literally hug and kiss her pajamas (both pieces- the shirt and pants) talking to them, telling them how much she loves them.
We of course for awhile, laughed at this. Now, its not so funny. EVERYTHING revolves around her jammies. Some of the normal questions answered at our house these days are the following: Can I keep them on? Can I lay them out on my bed? Can I wear them when we get home from the store? Can I wear them to church? Can I wear them outside? etc. etc.
Now, Jocelyn has become quite the picky eater. She quite often goes without food, because I refuse to make anything different for her. She can have what we have, or she can have nothing at all. And if she chooses nothing, that's exactly what she gets. No exceptions.
So last night, she would not touch her salad. I told her that she wouldn't get the rest of her dinner until she ate her salad. She choose not to eat at all. So, I decided to offer a date to Dairy Queen for anyone that finished their dinner. Jocelyn was so uninterested that she told me she would not have ice cream. I asked her if it would be sad if Jenna and mommy and daddy ate ice cream cones in front of her to which she replied..."No."
So we went to Dairy Queen and ate ice cream in front of her. She didn't even care. No tears. No breakdowns. No fits. Nothing.
Same thing tonight. She would not touch her salad. And just for the record, it was a delicious Chinese Chicken Salad. Knowing very well that offering ice cream doesn't work, Sam told her that she is not allowed to wear pajamas until she ate her dinner.
She cleaned her plate in less than 10 minutes.

Out of the mouths of babes
Little did I know that every night when we pray for the girls that they are actually listening to every word and taking it in. I recently found this out when I was getting ready to start and Genevieve said, "No mom, I will do it this time." And then she preceeded to do it, almost flawlessly! And Jocelyn doesn't let Genevieve do anything without her, so she popped in and did hers as well.

What to do on a warm day?
Sam and I took Genevieve up to go skiing this weekend. We had beautiful blue skies and warm weather (notice that no coats are being worn.) It was the perfect conditions for beginner skiers.

The littlest things to look forward too
My mom was pushing Jocelyn in the shopping cart today and Jocelyn asked if she could get out. With my mom's assistance, Jocelyn stood up in the front of the cart, towering over my mom.
Jocelyn: "Yia-Yia, I am bigger than you!"
My mom: "Yes, you are!"
Jocelyn: "Now I can wipe my own poop!
