Oops!

Well, it was bound to happen. Jenna loves to sit next to us on the barstools while we eat. She is so squirmy that we are always having to "catch" her and tell her to sit still otherwise she won't be allowed to sit there. And now, she won't be allowed to sit there anymore. This is because yesterday she fell off. I watched it all go down and I saw that fortunately, her head never hit anything. But, as she was crying, ok screaming, there was blood all in her mouth. I was able to see in and found a bunch of bite marks all over her tongue. I decided to take her to see Dr. Brown to make sure there was nothing wrong with her teeth. He said everything looked okay and that there were no loose teeth, just a bit up tongue. Basically, her tongue padded her teeth from the fall. And mouth sores heal pretty quickly, so she should be back to normal in no time!

I FOUND IT!!! :-)

Some of you may know that Sam bought me a beautiful anniversary ring after I gave birth to Genevieve 2 years ago. It was a very nice gift! My fingers slimmed up, the ring became loose, and about 1-2 months ago I somehow lost the ring without even knowing it! After searching high and low, we knew that it was gone. This was very hard for me because it was a very sentimental gift from my husband.
Today, after going to the grocery store, I took Jocelyn and her carseat out of the car to bring her inside. When I did this, I heard something clink around in the carseat. The first thought that went through my head was, "could it possibly be my ring?" I took Jocelyn out of the carseat and shook it (the carseat, not her!) I could still hear it, but nothing was coming out. I took the entire fabric piece off and sure enough...there it was!
So, I have already called the jeweler that Sam bought it from and have made arrangements to have it sized.
Yeah!!

Car accident

Yesterday, Amy and her 3 kids were in an accident, fortunately, everyone involved was uninjured. A young boy turned right infront of them and caused a good amount of damage. Juliana was VERY shaken up. It was sad, but cute. She can't even look at her car without crying. It scared her quite a bit. I tried explaining to her that people get in car accidents quite often, but she cried, "But, this was my first one!" Mikayla was all smiles, it didn't bother her a bit! And of course Isaiah, the typical boy, wanted to "see the crash."
We are glad that they are all okay!

Binki Dilema

Well, we made it through another wild week of the constant changing of babysitters! It went really well, but we are looking forward to Amy's return so that we can be back to normality!

I went to get some groceries this morning and I had a very good trip. Before I left, I told Jenna that we are going to go to the store. She immediately replied, "ok, shoes, coke (which means coat), cart, cookie!" She knows that she can drive in the fire truck grocery cart and that if she is good, we get a cookie from the lady at the bakery. Today, she got to do that and Jocelyn sat contently in the front of the cart just jabbering away. While I was checking out, the lady behind me complimented me on my very well behaved children. I was all smiles thinking, yeah, they really are good! We got to the car and Jenna waved bye-bye to the fire truck. So cute! As we were driving away, she asked for her binki. I told her that her binki was only for nap time and bed time. And then the well behaved child lost it. She has been whining and crying for her binki ever since! I want to wean her completely from it but it is hard enough weaning just to bed time !

Good thing Jocelyn never wanted a binki, but I will have a whole other dilema with her...the thumb!

Off to a crazy week!

For only working 2 1/2 days, I sure do struggle with getting babysitters! I am SO thankful to my family for always backing me up though. This week, my sister had to make an emergency trip to California to help her mother-in-law recover from surgery. Amy normally keeps my girls 2 of the 3 mornings. Fortunately, Jeneane is able to cover one of those mornings, since her job is slightly flexible that day, as well as watching them her regular Wednesday afternoon and then my mom leaves work early on Tuesdays to watch the girls. A special thank you to Esther (a new church friend) for picking up the last morning after working a night shift even! What would we do without a close family and church family? I guess I know the answer...they would be in daycare! Yikes!
